ZOOMLION FUMIGATES ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH DISTRICT TO RID OF BUGS, VIRUSES AND OTHER INFECTIOUS AGENTS.

 

As part of Government’s initiative to obviate bugs, viruses and related infectious agents in the country has collaborated with the Zoomlion Ghana Limited to make out a fumigation exercise every quarterly in a year across board.

The Atwima Nwabiagya North District had its quarterly fumigation exercise on the 5th of November, 2021, in areas such as Fufuo, Adankwame, Maaban, Asuofua-Asamang, Amakye-Bare, Akropong, Dabaa, and all nooks and crannies of the district.

Spraying was carried out by the National Malaria Control Program (NAMCOP) Spraying Gangs.

The spraying was done in various market centers, public toilets, public urinals, solid waste dumping sites, public schools, and other related places for public use.

The communities visited expressed words of gratitude to the District for such a great implemented initiative and hope it continues till later.

DEPUTY LOCAL GOVERNMENT MINISTER VISITS ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

 

The Deputy Minister for Local Government Decentralization and Rural Development, Hon. Collins Augustine Ntim has visited the Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly to inspect, assess and evaluate implemented policies of the District Assembly, projects and flagship programmes initiated by the incumbent government.
The official visit formed part of the sitting government’s initiative to ascertain the success and failures of policies executed by stakeholders of the Decentralized MMDAs in the country.
Atwima Nwabiagya North had its national share of the exercise on Tuesday the 23rd of August, 2022 at the District Assembly’s Conference Hall.
The notable exercise brought together, the Four time Member of Parliament for Offinso North Constituency, and current Deputy Minister for Local Government Decentralization and Rural Development, Hon. Collins Augustine Ntim, DCE for Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah, Ashanti Regional Dean of Presiding Members, Hon. Isaac Ohemeng Prempeh, Mr. S.M Abdul-Rahman, District Coordinating Director, Chairman of the event, Nana Gyedu Kumanin IV-Amakyebarehee and his Sub Chiefs, Chiefs and Imams of the Barekese Muslim Community, the Clergy, the District Assembly Staffs, Agriculture Officers, Security, Information Officers, and all protocols in observance.
In his address, Hon. Ntim, was grateful to the act of servitude demonstrated by participants and assured gatherers that the exercise was to demonstrate the core values of the Local Government Services; transparency, accountability and others.
He tasked everyone to contribute wholeheartedly in a critique manner in other to have a developed District, Regional and Country as whole.
Partakers of the exercise presented their reports before the audience and visiting guest of which critiques were noted for onwards action.
The one time Assembly man, DCE/MCE acknowledged everyone for the rank at which they are elevating the District Assembly and urged technocrats to heed to the conducts of the service.
In her reaction the competent DCE, expressed an act of gratitude to the Hon. Deputy Minister and staff. She assured him of improving upon notable areas for onward success of the whole exercise and development.
The Chairman of the official exercise, Nana Gyedu Kumanin IV buttressed the DCE’s remarks and added that chiefs in the district are at their disposal whenever they are called upon.
He stressed upon the state of the roads and called upon the minister to forward them to the appropriate quarters for redress.
Participants who mounted the podium added their view to what was reported on, whilst putting to government their concerns.

ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH DISTRICT HEALTH DIRECTORATE ASSESSED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS ON THEIR PERFORMANCES.

The Health Directorate in Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region has on Tuesday, 9th August, 2022 conducted it’s midyear performance review on services and activities rendered by health professionals in various Sub – District.

The mandatory exercise which came off at the District Assembly’s Conference Hall was to critically assess how well health professionals have performed in their duty as health technocrat at various health facility and how the resources at their dispense have been used.

The critique exercise brought together the District Coordinating Director, Mr. S.M Abdul-Rahman, District Director of Health, Mr. Eric Sarpong, Municipal Director of Health – Nkawie, Mr. Justice Sevego, District Information Officer, Mr. Augustine Agyei, the clergy, Chief Imam, Nananom, Researchers and all protocols in observance.

Participants were grouped in three folds, with each group having three participatory sub-district.

Zipline, Ghana Police Service, Asuofua sub-district, were in the first category, with Ghana Education Service, Researchers from KNUST, Akropong Sub-district, Barekese Sub-district, and Darbaa Sub-district came within the next two groups.

After each presentations from these health facilities and associates, participants were presented with an overall projected assessment by the District Health Directorate was put before them.

Participants were scrutinized at areas found weakening whilst officers took note to amend those loopholes before the year in review ends.

In his remarks, the DCD, representing the DCE, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah, encouraged participants and challenged them to work zealously to make the District an elevated one.

MP, DCE COMMISIONED NEW SCHOOL BLOCK FOR ANIMKRUMAH COMMUNITY

Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency and Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio and the DCE for the District Assembly, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah including other dignitaries have commissioned a 3 Unit Classroom block built under One Million One Constituency Project at Aninkroma in Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.

In attendance were the MP for the area, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio, the abled DCE, Hon Rebecca Yeboah, distinguished NPP Constituency Chairman, Mr. Abdul Salam Issah, the Former Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana and chairman of the Peace Council, Most Rev. Prof. Emmanuel K. Asante, the Former principal of Wesley College, Very Rev. Amponsah, Otumfour’s Assinhene, Nana Yaw Akuoku who also chaired the occasion and many other dignitaries.
The occasion was in conjunction with the 5th anniversary of Nana Animkrumahemaa.

Hon. Benito also donated to the community, 180 pieces of school uniforms and shoes (for the children), 12 streetlights, 180 pieces of machetes and other worth of items.

STAFFS OF ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH DISTRICT RECEIVED CAPACITY BUILDING ON AREAS OF NEEDS.

 
The staffs of the Atwima Nwabiagya North District have received capacity building workshop on areas of needs. The three days workshop took officers through performance appraisal, Local Government Protocols and Records Management.
Those were seen as an identifiable areas of needs in capacity building whereas others would soon follow to abreast the technocrat in quality of service delivery.
The workshop was on Tuesday, the 26th of July, 2022, at the District Assembly’s Conference Hall.
The pool of participants were from various Departments/Units in the District Assembly.
A consultant from the  TACHSOL Consult Limited, Mr. Michael Offei took officers through the areas mentioned. He made sure participants have understood what was been taught through PowerPoint presentation, discussions, questions and answers and field activities.
He was optimistic that the staffs trained would be of a success to the service.
Staffs were gratified over the workshop received and the District Assembly. They prayed more of such gaps be trained upon in the ensuing service year.

ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH DISTRICT HOLDS POST-DEPAT EVALUATION SESSION

The Atwima Nwabiagya North District has geared up the staff of the District Assembly during a Post-Depat evaluation meeting.

The evaluation meeting which was chaired by the District Coordinating Director was held among the Heads of the Department/Unit at DCD’s office on the 13th July 2022.

During the engagement, the District Coordinating Director, Mr S.M Abdul-Rahman advised heads to eschew any incorrigible behavior and embrace togetherness.

He urged colleagues of the administration to accord one another whilst holding each other in a high esteem manner.

On the floor of Post-Depat, heads expressed gratitude to the District Chief Executive, Hon Rebecca Yeboah and the DCD, Mr S.M Abdul-Rahman for their administrative deeds and asked management to adhere to what’s been recommended.

LET’S ALL GREEN GHANA – DCE CALLS

 

The District Chief Executive of the Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah has called on every Ghanaian, far and near especially residents in her district to venture into the tree planting campaign for it’s importance is beyond measure.

Citing various disasters on flooding, Hon. Yeboah said the growing of trees could be used to prevents such tragedies.

She added the recent climate change can be battled with growing of trees and more also minimize the unemployment spate in the country.

Hon. DCE therefore tasked everyone to make growing of trees an investment to venture.

A statement made on Tuesday, June, 7, 2022 during a stakeholders engagement with officials from the Forestry Commission at the Assembly’s Conference Hall.

In attendance were the DCE, Hon. Rebecca Yeboah, Hon. Isaac Ohemeng Prempeh, the Presiding Member of the Assembly, District Coordinating Director, Mr. S.M Abdul-Rahman, Officials from the Forestry Commission, Heads of Departments, Heads of Directorates, Assembly Members, and every one who matters.

In a related event officials from the Forestry Commission, has assured interested growers of available trees for planting at various nursery centers at no fee.

ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH DISTRICT’S POPULATION IS AT 155,025 – GSS REPORT

The Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) 2021 Population and Housing Census general report revealed Atwima Nwabiagya North District stands at 155,025.
According to the report, female gender is at 78,148 whereas male category stands at 76,877. The difference of 1,271 signifies that the majority of the residence were females in the district comparatively.
This was made known to the District Assistant Statistician of the Atwima Nwabiagya North, Mr Samuel Frimpong on the 18th of November, 2021.
He said the report will inform the Assembly in decision making and implementation of policies.

MADE IN ATWIMA NWABIAGYA NORTH DISTRICT QUALITY NORTHERN SMOCK

Northern Smock “Fugu” is one among the top wearing apparel of the Northern people in the Region of Ghana.
The trend has descended to the southern and other regions of Ghana particularly the Ashanti. Both the young and the elderly are mostly seen with it.
The beauty alone makes it more attractive to put on and the all event apparel makes it more wearable. It has the feminist type and masculine made category. This means it is all class dress.
In the Atwima Nwabiagya North District Assembly where peculiar young energetic, beautiful and well educated feminists were caught weaving these Northern Kente specifically in the Asuofua-Asamang Electoral Area.
Upon enquiry it was revealed that these teen girls had had education. There were those who  were in education and uses their leisure days and hours of vacation to learn this trade whilst others have completed school preparing to further on but wants to make good use of the days ahead in life.
